What's Nearby:
The house is centrally located and within a 10-15 minute walk to Roger Wheeler State Beach,a.k.a. Sand Hill Cove Beach with it's soft white sand, calm shores, and grassy dunes.

It's the ideal place for children at the beach. The newly renovated pavilion has facilities that include the boardwalk, the bathhouse, food concessions, picnic tables, a playground area and a viewing tower. A short walk down the beach (less than 1 mile) brings you to the scenic fishing Port of Gallilee, with it's quaint shops, breakfast and seafood restaurants, and ice cream and candy shops. You can simply stroll to sightsee or you can sit and watch the fishing boats and ferries sail in and out of port. This is one of RI's most popular tourist attractions.

The "5 Southwest Road house" is also walking distance to "Charlie O's" Sports Pub & Restaurant, "Aunt Carrie's" famous seafood restaurant, "The Bon Vue Inn" with live music and dancing, two small Mom & Pop-style ice cream shops, surfcast fishing on a rocky beach, and one mile from the very popular upscale "Spain Restaurant". A short drive will take you to Scarboro State Beach, Roger Wheeler State Beach, the famous "Towers" at Narragansett Pier and the pristine Narragansett Town Beach. You can also get a unique view of the natural surrounding of the tidal flow along Narrow River and the tidal inlet by renting kayaks or canoes at Narrow River Kayaks (1-401-789-0334).

Take a ferry ride from the Port of Gallilee over to Block Island. While at Block Island you could rent a mo-ped or a bicycle to tour and sight-see, shop, visit the Block Island Lighthouse and the "Cliffs", or just relax on the pristine beaches with crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
